How to Save Your Itinerary as a PDF

5 min read · Planner Features · Updated September 2026  |  Plan this trip with AI →

WayMarg's Trip Pack is the fastest way to save a travel itinerary as a PDF — one offline-ready document with your full day-by-day plan, hotel links, checklist, and emergency numbers. Here's exactly how it works.

An app-only itinerary is fine until you're somewhere with no signal, your phone's at 8%, or you just want to hand a printed plan to the person sitting next to you. WayMarg's Export Trip Pack turns your entire itinerary — day plans, hotel links, checklist, and emergency numbers — into a single offline-ready document. Here's exactly what's in one, using a real exported Trip Pack as the example.

1

Start from the checklist or the full trip

The "Export Trip Pack" button sits right in the Before You Go checklist — export the complete itinerary plus checklist together, or just the checklist on its own if you haven't finished planning the rest yet.

"Export Trip Pack" sits right next to the checklist progress count.

What's Actually in a Trip Pack

A real exported Trip Pack — for a 10-city, 14-day road trip from Chennai to Manali — opens with a cover page summarizing the whole trip at a glance:

🗺 Chennai Trip — Road Trip · 15 Jun – 4 Jul 2026
2Travellers
14Days
29Spots
~3530KM Route
7En Route
0/24Checklist

Below the stats sits a "✅ Trip Ready" badge, a QR code captioned "Scan to view live trip" that links back to the live, shareable version of the same itinerary, and a note that the document "works offline after opening once."

The Sections That Follow

1
Day-by-day planEvery city's days laid out with photos, ratings, opening hours, and tags like dress code, grouped by morning/afternoon/evening
2
On the Way stopsReal on-the-way cards between cities — restaurant or sightseeing stops with distance-in and direct Maps/Uber links
3
Stay in [City] linksHotel booking links (MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, Cleartrip) listed right after each city's day plan
4
Before You Go checklistThe full checklist reproduced in the document — Travel Essentials, Health & Comfort, Route Readiness, Temple Preparation, Group Items
5
Support informationPolice 112, Ambulance 108, Fire 101, Women's Helpline 1091, and Road Assist — printed plainly, no app needed to find them
6
Booking links footerHotels, trains (IRCTC), buses (RedBus, MMT Buses), and flights (Cleartrip, MakeMyTrip), grouped by category
This is a real document, not a mockup: every figure above — the 29 spots, the ~3,530 km route, the specific emergency numbers — comes directly from an actual generated Trip Pack, not an idealized example.

Why This Matters More Than It Sounds

The moment a trip actually needs a printed or offline backup is usually the worst possible moment to discover your itinerary only exists inside an app that needs signal to load. A Trip Pack means the whole plan — not just a list of place names, but the schedule, the hotel links, the checklist, and the emergency numbers — survives a dead phone or a patchy network without losing anything that matters.
