How to Plan Travel Around a NEET, JEE, UPSC Exam, or Job Interview

Exam and interview travel all share the same problem: a fixed appointment that everything else has to work around, usually with very little flexibility on the time itself. Add the appointment as a Primary Spot

Inside the city planner's Primary Spots section, choose Interview from the category dropdown — the same category covers exams, interviews, and presentations, since the underlying need is identical: a fixed slot the rest of the day has to respect. Name it, set the day, the start time, and how long it runs. In this example: "NEET," Day 1, 9:00 AM, 180 minutes.

Clear other spots on this day: exams and interviews are usually high-stakes enough to clear the time around them — choose Before if you need the morning free to prepare, Full day if you don't want anything else scheduled at all that day.

Fill in the rest of the trip around it

Once set, the anchor shows up at the top of Pick Spots — tagged PRIMARY, with a note that it clears spots before it — above the normal sightseeing results for the city. Kota itself has more to offer than most people expect for an "exam city": Seven Wonder's Park, Ghatotkach Circle, Ganesh Udhyan, City Palace Garh, and several others.

The NEET anchor sits above the regular results, which families often use for a study break or to occupy the days around the exam.

See it anchored in the Day Plan

In the Day Plan, the appointment sits in its actual time slot, tagged PRIMARY, exactly as set. At this stage in the example below, sightseeing hadn't been added to the day yet — the anchor is the only stop showing — but it would slot in around the cleared time the same way it does for any other Primary Spot.

NEET, 9:00–12:00, the single confirmed stop for that morning.

The Same Mechanic, Different Commitment

A JEE exam, a UPSC interview, a paper presentation, or a board exam all work exactly the same way — same Primary Spots panel, same Day/time/duration fields, same "Clear other spots" choice. Swap the label, and the rest of the trip builds around it the same way the NEET exam does. The point isn't a feature built specifically for exams; it's a flexible anchor that adapts to whatever the fixed commitment actually is.
